This recipe is effectively unmodified apart from the addition of soy sauce and sesame seeds while cooking the tofu. It comes together very quickly, and while it's not particularly substantial -- it definitely needs to be paired with something else -- it is tasty.
Easy Lemon Dill Tofu
Ingredients
- Tofu
- 1 ~350g package extra firm tofu
- 1 tbsp oil
- light soy
- dark soy
- sesame seeds
- Sauce
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 3 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tbsp tahini
- 1 tbsp dill pickle juice
- ½ tbsp nutritional yeast
- 1 tsp olive oil
- ¾ C freshly chopped dill
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- Freeze, thaw, and drain the tofu.
- Slice it into thin slices and pan-fry with oil, adding light and dark soy and sesame seeds to taste.
- Whisk together all of the sauce ingredients in a medium-sized bowl.
- Toss the tofu with the sauce and serve.
