Ingredients
- Rice
- 375mL jasmine rice
- 4 green onions
- 15mL ginger paste
- Beef
- 570g beef strips
- 160g bell pepper, cut into 1cm pieces
- 450g brocolli florets, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 15mL ginger paste
- Sauce
- 15mL cornstarch
- 125mL hoisin sauce/soy sauce mix
- 10mL sugar
Procedure
- Rice
- Sauté green onions and ginger in a bit of oil until fragrant, ~1 minute.
- Combine with rice and cook rice as usual.
- Sauce
- Whisk together all sauce ingredients in 250mL cold water.
- Beef
- Heat a bit of oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
- Cook beef strips, then remove from pan.
- In same pan, reduce heat to medium, add oil if needed, and cook peppers and broccoli, ~5 minutes.
- Add ginger, beef, and any beef juices and cook until fragrant, ~1 minute.
- Add sauce and cook until desired thickness is reached, ~5 minutes. Serve over rice.
